Just Another Brick in the Walk...
Made it through Monday of the mega-week. It was a pretty busy day, which was okay because it meant I didn’t have much time to dwell on things.
This morning, I sent out letters to each of Kellie’s clients with referrals to two new therapists who I think might be a good fit for them. That was a TON of work, but I was able to get the entire task done by lunch, which I’m really proud of. One less huge task to do. I heard back from several of them already, and the majority of them had incredibly nice things to say about Kellie and the impact she had made on their lives. One of them did ask me to take them off my list, so I suspect they didn’t actually read the letter and thought I was advertising something.
I got a fax today letting me know I’m the heir for a multimillion dollar fortune someone left me in Ontario, as long as I agree to donate 10% to charity and split the rest with the very kind lawyer who faxed me. So things are looking up.
This afternoon, I had a couple of meetings and cleared up a bunch more work tasks that I’ve been putting off. The summer semester started today, and I’m looking forward to teaching my class tomorrow.
This wasn’t from Disneyland, in case you were wondering—it’s downtown Erie, PA. Caught some great Pokemon that night!
Oh, and the cement guy showed up today for a while(!!) He debated whether to do the work or not because it may or may not rain within the next several days, possibly. He left and then came back and poked the dirt for a while tonight. The rumor is that they’ll dig up the yard tomorrow and then see if the rain is imminent. One step closer to actually having Kellie’s path in place…stay tuned.
Sorry for such a short update tonight, folks. I have a few more things to do before bed, and I’m pretty exhausted.
See ya soon.
Matt
